Our first title!

It is our great pleasure to announce the pre-order availability of our first work, Hooray for Pain!, a poetry anthology by our first author, Bacil Donovan Warren. Donovan has been living in Tucson for the past 14 years, and describes his reasoning for publishing this book:

I initially thought that I'd just collect a lot of the poems I'd written over the years, and print and bind them for posterity. As I read them, though, I started to see some definite themes develop, and on organizing them (really, for the first time) I realized that they were probably popular themes, things that happen to a lot of people over time. After having been prodded by some of my friends for years to look into publishing, one of the final straws was an e-mail sent by a reader of some of my poems on my personal site. She wrote that I'd really touched her, and she was sending her friend to read a couple of my poems. Apparently, her friend was despondent and suicidal, and she thought her friend might benefit from reading about someone else's pain. That really touched me; I realized that though I may think some of it is chintzy and self-indulgent, a lot of it is really universal. Hopefully, I can put this work out there, and people will read it and see their own struggles, and see that though they may be unique, they are not alone .

The book's poems cover a wide range of emotions, from rage, anger, and hatred through suicidal sadness to love, joy, and peace. Check out the book's page which includes a couple of sample poems.
